Two bakers, one oven, and very early mornings
Mia and Jonas started baking from a shared kitchen in 2017 and opened Proof & Pour on Walcot Street two years later.
Everything is baked here before sunrise. When it is gone, it is gone, so the buns rarely make it past lunchtime.

Can I order a celebration cake?+
Yes, with five days' notice. Pop in or call and we will talk flavours.
Do you have vegan bakes?+
Our sourdough is vegan, and there is always at least one vegan bun on the counter.
Are dogs welcome?+
Very. There is a water bowl by the door and a biscuit jar on the counter.
