The Threshing Barn

Weddings in HerefordshireMuch Marcle, Herefordshire
A restored eighteenth-century threshing barn in the Marcle Ridge, exclusively yours from the morning until midnight.
The barn
The Pritchard family farmed Hollow Lane for four generations before Ellen and Rob spent three years bringing the old threshing barn back to life.
Ceremonies happen in the barn or under the oldest apple tree, and the orchard terrace is where everyone ends up as the sun goes down.

The spaces
Oak beams, a lime-washed floor and room for a band at the far end.
Drinks, canapés and festoon lights strung between the trees.
An intimate room for ceremonies, or a quiet bar later on.
Real days here

How the day runs
Guests gather under the trees with something cold.
Or beneath the old apple tree if the weather is kind.
Long tables in the barn, cooked by our resident caterer.
Band or DJ in the barn, firepits on the terrace.
“From the first viewing Ellen just got it. The barn looked unreal, the food was incredible and nobody wanted to leave the orchard.”
